Mudgeeraba Hilltons, situated on a “hilly” part of Mudgeeraba called Summerhill, it's a nice quiet area bordering a parkland on the back of this 1000 m² property. Towards the street, Milky Way, the property have a small lawn area and the driveway towards a double garage, as only one story is exposed towards the street the house appears quite small for by passers.

The back of the property has a very large yard, including an entertaining / play area immediately outside the house, a large 40 m² pool surrounded by a paved area including a BBQ and a built over and furnished dining and partying area. Finally there's an big garden area with law, vegetable garden and storage sheds.

This is a more than 300 m² house divided in 2 levels, far too large for the remaining original occupants; Connie Hansen and Olle Persson by them selves. Consequently the decision was made that rather than to sell and relocate we could share this beautiful property with some host guests. Which has now become a routine and regular occurrence over the last 10 years here in Mudgeeraba, probably counting in the hundreds - predominantly students - over the years.

The property was originally a four-bedroom three bathroom home, with two large living rooms, and a large kitchen - also including a built in a garage. The property now have a temporary, conversion to a six bedroom home.
 


Mudgeeraba, a fascinating old suburb with a great heritage of the ultra modern Gold Coast,



Mudgeeraba dating back some 200 years, possibly very young in European terms, but a respectful age in Australia’s short history. Our local pub and restaurant resides in its original building since more than hundred years, and the local primary school which Mona attended for seven years are possibly approaching 120 years in business.

Mudgeeraba have had an explosive growth over our 20 years as a residents here, at times being the fastest growing suburb on the Gold Coast. This is now a substantial center catering for all the needs of the residents, couple of supermarkets, countless small shops, several restaurants, hairdressers, medical professionals and legal practices.

If the vast supply in Mudgeeraba itself shouldn't suffice, then you'll find Robina Town Center and now the rapidly growing Robina CBD including several highrise office complexes. Robina CBD now also includes a large hospital several schools an international standard sports complex and a train station including an excellent connection spot for Gold Cost bus lines.

The part that I personally enjoyed about Mudgeeraba is that markets and services are still concentrated quite confined in the original local village area, while Mudgeeraba’s growth is spreading in large domestic living areas around the village. This makes is a very nice area where you have everything within walking distance, at least for us which resides in the old original Mudgeeraba village area.
 

So feel most welcome for a visit, and I'm sure you too will fall in love with Mudgeeraba.

The huge; 33 Milky Way, home away from home.

Well, it's not for us, we will make it at home away from home for you, but for us it's indeed, definitely and truly THE HOME for the last 20 years.

So, let's look closer on this - our little paradise on earth;

As mentioned now a six bedroom home constructed as a two-story building,


Let's start where we enter the house, coming straight into a large living room; you'll find a lounge area facing an entertainment corner with stereo flat-screen television DVD and even an old VHS player. In another corner in the room you'll find a spacious bar and also a walk-through path to the kitchen.

We have also allocated an area in this room for health and fitness, the actual gym is currently dismantled, but the dumbbells and exercise bench and Gym Ball are available anytime.

Moving on to the kitchen, another large stretched out room, having a big work area with cabinets and benches in one half, and a good size dining area easily seating 8 to 10 people in the other half. Directly outside the kitchen is a large built-over veranda with another big dining table, and there's a small barbecue available on the veranda.

The kitchen has one guest cabinet, in these each guest is allocated a shelf for materials that he regularly use in the kitchen. Refrigerator space and the freezer space are available on the lower level of the house.

Behind the living room we have the first two bedrooms, nice spacious rooms suitable for double bed or two single beds when needed, this rooms are furnished with bed(s) to suit, cabinets office desk and ceiling fan.

In the East and of the house we have another large bedroom, this as well can be suitable for couples, either furnished with a double bed or two singles. Again the room is furnished with cabinets office desk and floor fan.

Mudgeeraba Hilltons, Bedroom Views.Bedroom number four is the smallest one, possibly only suitable for single Mudgeeraba Hilltons, Bedroom Views.occupancy. A very nice room with a large window and lots of daylight, again fully furnished.

Next to this last bedroom we have a bathroom with vanity, shower and also a rarely used bathtub. Wall to wall with the bathroom we have a separate entrance toilet, both with windows for good day light and ventilation.

Down on this level we have another large open room, the rumpus room as Australian standard, although this one is to the biggest part occupied by my messy home office.

Here is also a bedroom with adjoining bathroom, a toilet and shower bathroom. At this level we also have the laundry and direct garden access.

Pricing structure, affordable living.


Yes it is affordable, the most competitive accommodation you can find on the Gold Coast, possibly 50% of the price of some single backpacker beds. And at Mudgeeraba Hilltons you will get your own room, furnished with a nice bed, desk, chair and wardrobe.


The basic price, for a single person in private room, and with access to all the facilities in the house;


Price for single;               $150.00 per week.


We can also cater for two people living in some of the larger rooms, with are a double bed for couples, or two single beds for simply travel companions.


Price for two occupants in a room;   $195.00 per week


(Special arrangements are being made from time to time for temporary but regular guest visitors, I,e; out of town partners that may visit over weekends etc.)

Unfortunately, for the consideration of other guests, we are forced to strictly reject any pets in the house. That is; no pets of any kind.

Nor are we able to cater for children, meaning that all guests at Mudgeeraba Hilltons needs to be eighteen years or over.

Bond & Contract;

One weeks Bond is requred when moving in, or securing a room for later arraival. (We hold rooms for later arrival for a couple of weeks only.)

We keep it simple at MHR, no unneccessery paperwork and bouocracy, and the one and only rule is; ""Keep other guests and the owners happy.""

We also expect a 2 weeks notification on departure, this will give us some time to advertise the room and avoid loss of income during the exchange. Again keep it simple, apply and follow common sence in social living and interacting.

Full Border Accommodation;

We do occasionally accept guests on a daily basis only, in such cases the daily rates is $35.00 per night.

We still have an option of full border accommodation service including:
Free access to refrigerator and kitchen pantry for self-service of sandwich or cereal breakfast, which may include eggs, sausages or bacon depending on availability.

Further, the “full border guest” may provide herself a lunch here at Mudgeeraba Hilltons, or a packed lunch for outside studying or work commitments.

Thirdly this service includes a home-cooked meal in the evening, joining the family for the evening meal.


The costs of the whole service mentioned above is a low $15.00 per day, or $85.00 at a discounted weekly price.


Disclaimer;
Mudgeeraba Hilltons staff reserves the right to accept or reject orders for the “full border service” from time to time. Due to a change of lifestyle and eating habits, as well as regular travel we may not be able to provide the service as above specified, if that's the case we would negotiate - and might agree to partly deliver this service at a reduced price.


Internet Connection 24 /7;    $0.00 per week.


All the rooms at Mudgeeraba Hilltons are connected to the Internet via our local cable computer network LAN, thus providing Internet access in all guest accommodation rooms.
The use of Internet access are available 24 hours seven days a week, however strictly limited in regards to download traffic and other high traffic volume activities. These activities could be, but are not limited to; downloading music and videos, the use of WebCam for video calling and other activities, any online broadcasting and online interactive video games informing streaming video.

An additional cost of $8.00 per week applies for the connection to the local area network and Internet.

Meeting and pick up at Gold Coast Airport;    $58.00

Delivering departing guests to Gold Coast destinations;    $50.00


Meeting and pick up at Gold Coast destinations, including furniture or other luggage requiring trailer or larger vehicles;    $150.00

Meeting and pick up, including deliveries, at Robina town center and Robina bus and train station;
    $20.00


Furniture's and storage;
We do accept guests bringing furniture, television (no TV connection are available in the rooms.) and music equipment, we are however unable to provide any storage space outside the allocated room for such equipment.

High energy consumption items as electrical heaters or air condition devices are not allowed.

Guests will have one pantry shelf in the kitchen for regularly used kitchen items, they would be allocated a couple of shelves in refrigerators on the lower level of the house. If needed small shared area in freezers can also be provided.
